About THE IDEA
The Patter-mice and Sleepyhead were born one fine morning in the kitchen of our Villa Villekulla – a small apartment in the centre of Sofia. There was plenty of hot coffee and good mood that day. The poem that gave birth to the characters still hangs on the wall. The stories themselves developed along the meadows of the Pirin mountains, but the book became alive under the brush of Monika. Moni is a wonderful Bulgarian girl – very brave and very talented. It is a true marvel to see how a row of words turns into a living world.
